A round table on the topic of NPP was held in ENU
Ministry of Energy to the event
The round table “NPP - the basis of the country’s energy security” was held at the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov. The event was organized by KNPP LLP together with ENU.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy, Kazakhstan Nuclear Power Plants LLP, power engineers, nuclear physics scientists, teachers, doctoral students, master's students of L.N. Gumilyov ENU.
The moderator was the Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Technology Erik Nurmoldin. Deputy Director of the Department of Nuclear Energy and Industry of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulmira Mursalova said that there is a shortage of electricity in Kazakhstan and the nuclear power plant will help ensure stable basic electricity generation.
General Director of KNPP LLP Timur Zhantikin spoke about the project to build a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan, technical aspects and the impact of the nuclear power plant on the environment.
Physicists and energy scientists from ENU spoke at the round table. The safety issues of nuclear technologies were also discussed.
